We continue to make progress. Production should (barring any unforeseen problems) start next Monday on a limited basis, as we still need to test "production run" mantles. All samples to date have been produced in the lab, and we need to bring that quality to the production floor. We will have mantle samples to show in Columbia, but unfortunately not for sale

Mark your calendars for the the week of October 19th thru 23rd, 2010 for Mideast Lamp Show and meet at the Richmond, Indiana Holiday Inn. Phone 765-966-7511. We have a block of rooms set aside until September 23rd for us and we hope to equal the success of the 2009 show. Thanks to all of you who joined us. It made for a great week. We had 122 people registered and 32 walk ins we are hoping to surpass that this year.
We will begin the week with room trading and visiting all the antique malls and shops along Historic Route 40 (National Road) in Indiana and Interstate 70 is home to Heart of Ohio Antique Malls (2 large Ones) in Springfield, Ohio which is an hour away and a 20 minute drive to Centerville, Indiana to Webb's Antique Mall.
The Holiday Inn serves a hot buffet breakfast which is included with your room $76.95 plus tax. We have found the breakfast is a great time to meet with old friends and meet new ones.
Saturday the lamp show opens to members at 9 A.M. and the public (3.00 charge) at 10 A.M. and closes at 3 PM. Snacks will be served along with the raffle. Last year we sold all the tables early.
We will advertise the show as an antique Lighting show featuring Aladdin lamps, Victorian, flat wicks, miniature lights and hard to find parts, supplies and pieces in all the shops and malls in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio with fliers . We will also advertise in the Antique Week and Collectors Journal, we have found them to be very effective.
We will have a special menu on Saturday at 5 PM and a Seminar at 7PM.

Minden, Ne. Museum
Due to efforts by Bob and Judy Jansen and Gordon Peterson the museum in Minden,Ne. has a display of Aladdin Lamps, Advertising and a history of the Johnson family. There is a picture of the Minden Museum posted on this website.
